Project Profile

UC San Diego Solar Project

Overview

Solar Power Partners (SPP) used a solar Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) to develop a 1.2 MW total system for the University of California San Diego (UCSD). The system includes rooftop and raised fixed arrays, and enables the university to take advantage of solar power without any upfront cash.

In addition to design oversight, SPP owns, operates, and maintains the solar system. The system has an estimated annual output of 139,777 kWh, which is equivalent to 99.5 metric tons of carbon dioxide, or emissions from 11,294 gallons of gasoline consumed.
