Solar Power Partners (SPP) developed a 1.1
MW solar power system for the Valley Center
Municipal Water District. The system, which
was financed using SPP's solar Power Purchase
Agreement (PPA), will provide an estimated
2.1 million kWh per year of electricity for
the district, offsetting up to 20% of the electricity
required by their largest pumping station.

The financial modelling, solar PPA terms,
design, and installation of the system shows
what can be accomplished when water districts
adopt solar and support renewable energy. SPP
partnered with Worldwater Power to design and
install the ground tracking system, which allows
automated panel tilting to match the best part
of the sun.
