Project Profile

Marshall Solar Project

Overview

The creative financing solution that Solar Power Partners (SPP) developed for Marshall Medical Center in Cameron Park, CA, makes solar energy possible at no upfront cost to the healthcare provider. The system, sitting atop an elevated array, made possible using a solar Power Purchase agreement, is the largest hospital parking structure solar system in the country and totals 669.00 kW in size.

Results

SPP’s solar PPA allowed Marshall Medical Center's Cameron Park facility to realize solar energy without upfront costs or operating responsibilities. Marshall Medical buys solar energy at a predictable rate from SPP. The system produces an estimated 901,805 kWh annually, which is equivalent to 602 metric tons of carbon dioxide, or emissions from 72,840 gallons of gasoline.
